Hundreds of graduation parties and Memorial Day festivities will take place this three-day weekend and Cheyenne police will be out in full force to deter people from driving drunk.

"We'll have the DUI van set up in town and we'll have extra patrols out looking for impaired drivers," said Officer Malatesta.

Malatesta urges those who plan on drinking to designate a sober driver and leave their car keys at home.

"A lot of families are in town going out celebrating," said Malatesta. "We just want to make sure that everybody arrives home safely and we don't have impaired drivers out on the road."

Malatesta urges people to call 911 or local law enforcement if they suspect someone is driving drunk.
