Cheyenne’s Odd Street Names

The more familiar with Cheyenne I get, the weirder I find some of our street names.

Here's a list of some of my favorites!

1. Haunted Rd. - I'm sure this street is lovely, but I'm too afraid to check it out.

2. Gettysburg Dr.  - I envy these people, because they can tell everyone they have a "Gettysburg address." 

3. Campstool Lane - You can probably find an actual camping stool at Sierra Trading Post, located on Campstool Lane.

4. Fox Farm Road - Was there actually a farm for foxes in Cheyenne?

5. Dirt Road - Naming this road didn't take a lot of effort.

6. Fleischili Parkway - It doesn't help that half of Cheyenne's hotels are on this one. I imagine tourists arguing over the correct pronunciation before they check-in.

7. Hacker Court - Remind me not to take my computer around here.

8. Blues Dr. - Cheyenne's most depressing street name.

9. Hellwig Rd. - I'm not sure what a hellwig is, but it sounds like something you wouldn't want to stumble across.

10. Broken Bit Rd. - Broken bits of what, exactly?
