The University of Wyoming men's basketball team are acting as though they are in limbo. They appear to have lost their team identity in about one week. After winning two incredible over time victories, one of which came ON THE ROAD. The Pokes went back out on the road and stood around. Like they expected the Utah State Aggies to just roll over and give the Pokes the game because the Cowboys were 17-3. The Aggies proved the Pokes wrong. They pounded the Pokes on the glass and beat them at their own game. Now the Cowboys are going back to the friendly confines of the Double AA and have what is known as a "get well game." That's a game that is against an opponent that has lost four straight. And is struggling to find an identity and you get to play at home. That also means that Nevada is dangerous. With the midpoint of the conference season approaching every game is crucial for the University of Wyoming men's basketball team. The Cowboys (17-4, 6-2 MW) are tied atop the Mountain West with San Diego State, as five other teams sit just one game behind them, and now host Nevada (6-13, 2-5 MW) on Saturday at 4 p.m. MT in the Arena-Auditorium. The Pokes split their two meetings with the Wolf Pack last season, including one overtime contest.Wyoming leads the all-time series with Nevada, 11-2, including a 6-1 mark in Laramie. The programs split their two meetings last season, but the Pokes earned a 64-62 overtime victory in the last meeting between the squads on Jan. 25, 2014, in Laramie. Nance hit a jumper with three seconds left to give UW the victory and a four-game winning streak in the MW, as he finished with a double-double of 19 points and 12 rebounds. Things don't get any easier for the Cowboys. The 223rd Border War with Colorado State will be on Wednesday at 7 p.m. MT in Laramie.  http://www.gowyo.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/012915aaa.html
