The Wyoming Cowboys will face the University of Nevada-Las Vegas (UNLV) on Thursday in Mountain West Conference Tournament action.

The Cowboys go into the tournament as the number five seed, while UNLV, playing on it's home court at the Thomas&Mack center in Las Vegas, is the  #4 seed. Wyoming grabbed the fifth seed by defeating arch-rival Colorado State 83-75 Saturday in Laramie.

The Cowboys finished tied for fifth in the regular season standings with Boise State and Fresno State, but claimed the #5 seed by virtue of splitting two games against MWC regular season champion San Diego State, making them the only one of the three teams to defeat the Aztecs.

By claiming the #5 seed Wyoming also receives a first round bye, while seeds 6 through 11 all must play first round games on Wednesday. The Wyoming vs UNLV game is scheduled for 3:30 pm Mountain Time Thursday and will be televised on the CBS sports network
