Cheyenne Regional Medical Center CEO Margo Karsten says she thinks the hospital needs to do a better job of letting people know they can receive high-quality healthcare at CRMC.

Karsten says many Laramie County residents seem to think they need to travel to Colorado for medical care. But she says, except for a few very complicated or specialized procedures, they can get everything they need at CRMC.

She says quality of the doctors and staff at the Cheyenne Hospital is extremely high-but many Laramie County residents either don't know that or don't believe it.

She says one of her goals is to get the word out into the community about the quality of care available at the hospital.

Karsten was chosen by the hospital board earlier this year as permanent CEO after filling the position on an interim basis for several months.
