Tied for second as most conservative state in a new Gallup Poll!North Dakota and Wyoming are tied for second in a recent Gallup Poll - Number one is Alabama. Between 49% and 50% of residents in each state identify their ideology as conservative. Residents of the District of Columbia were by far the most likely to identify as liberal (41%), followed by Massachusetts (31%), Oregon, and Vermont (each at 29% liberal).

Those Colorado "hippies" are about in the middle, not too liberal or conservative. America has become slightly more "liberal" since 2011 in this 2012 Gallup Poll. Conservatives still outnumber both moderates and liberals.
