We want to shut him down. He came from here and we just want to kill him. That’s what we want to do

Brock Osweiler spent 3 ½ seasons in the shadow of Peyton Manning before he finally got his chance to prove his skills in the final seven games for The Denver Broncos. He won five of those and helped the Broncos to a Superbowl win.

But three days after superstar quarterback Peyton Manning retired, Brock bailed on the Broncos for a $72 Million contract with The Houston Texans. Now the Texans are coming to Denver for Monday Night Football and the gloves could be coming off.

Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall told 9News Mike Klis “I don’t think anybody in this locker room cares that he left, you’re happy when another player gets his money. At the same time, it’s competition and we want to shut him down. He came from here and we just want to kill him. That’s what we want to do.’’

While there was some resentment, the team has realized they may be better off with Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch for their combined $2.95 average than Osweiler’s $18 M.

USAToday via MSN says Cornerback Chris Harris said “Of course, everybody was upset at first, but right now what we’ve seen with Trevor everybody’s kind of forgotten about it. At first we were definitely mad but we’re starting to like Trevor and Paxton so we got over it pretty fast.’’

I'll be watching on Monday night, will you?
