There’s a survey of the 48 out of 50 states in America (Alaska and Hawaii not included) of the most and least stressed states to live in.  Where does Wyoming rank?

A survey by a real estate company called Movoto, conducted this survey based on six main factors:  Percentage of people who have a commute over twenty minutes, unemployment rates per state, hours worked, population density, percentage of income for home purchases, and percentage of people who are currently without health insurance.  So what state is the MOST stressed state in the United States according to this survey? Florida!

You would think with the beautiful beaches and palm trees that Florida would be one of the least stressed, but given these factors in this study, that puts the “Sunshine State” at number 1 on the list, followed by Georgia, New Jersey, California, Nevada, Illinois, New York, Maryland, North Carolina and Arizona.

So, what state is the LEAST stressed state according to this survey?  North Dakota.  NORTH DAKOTA?  Well given the fact that North Dakota is mostly known for frigid cold temperatures and polka music, I guess I can see why.  Other states that made it on the least stressed state list include Iowa, South Dakota, Minnesota, Nebraska, Vermont Montana, Maine and Utah.

So where does the state of Wyoming rank in this survey?  42nd!  Out of the 48 states that were surveyed, being 42nd on this list is not too shabby, the “Cowboy State” is one of the LEAST stressed states to live in, but do you agree with this survey?

Given that most of us have a short commute to work, and that the unemployment rate in this state isn’t as bad as other states, I guess I can see why were on the least stressed list.  I think most people would agree that those crazy Wyoming winds can be a little stressful from time to time, but is there anything else about Wyoming that you would consider stressful?

Do you agree that Wyoming is one of the least stressful states to live in, yes or no?
