The Cheyenne Police Department is investigating a vandalism that occurred the night of June 25.

The statue of “Duster” at the Depot Plaza was removed from its foundation and dumped into one of the nearby 8-foot tall cowboy boots. Police spokesman officer Dan Long says the good news is the fact that the statue was recovered. That means it can be repaired and eventually put back in it's former location.

Police are asking with information about the vandalism to contact the Cheyenne Police Department or Silent Witness at 638-TIPS
