The longest rivalry in Cheyenne high school football history happens at 6:00 p.m. tonight. #4 ranked Cheyenne East is set to host the Cheyenne Central Indians.

Cheyenne East is off to a 3-2 start this year and picked up a win last week at Kelly Walsh. Central is 1-3 thus far and fell in a really tough overtime contest to Laramie last week.

The cliche' for a rivalry game I think is true again tonight, throw the records out the window. Not only will both teams be giving it their all tonight, it's chilly and it's damp to make things extra interesting.

Central is led by quarterback Brock Anderson who has thrown 11 touchdowns and averages around 208 yards passing per game. T.J. Wiltanger is a force on the ground with nearly 100 yards per game, right now at 98.4. Defensively it's been the Tucker Fredrick show, he has over 7 tackles per game.

East quarterback Baylor Hayes passes for 114 yards per game. The Thunderbirds love the ground attack, and who wouldn't, with Ethan Ashworth. Ethan has 6 touchdowns on the season and averages just over 82 yards per game. Defensively, keep and eye out for Braden Morris who is averaging almost 6 tackles per game.

No matter who you're rooting for, this should be a heck of a game!
