July Rainfall in SE Wyoming
According to Weather Underground, Cheyenne saw a whopping 3.56 inches of precipitation in July 2023 - double the average rainfall based on WeatherSpark.com data. Laramie received about 1.81 inches of rain last month, an increase from the average of 1.1 inches.

The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather and flood watch for portions of SE Wyoming from 2 p.m. through 12 a.m. MDT on August 2.

May 24 Landspout Spirals Over Cheyenne
A landspout - a type of tornado that is "smaller and weaker than tornadoes produced by supercells" appeared within city limits on May 24, 2023, shocking residents. The spout was visible over Dell Range Blvd. In response to the spout, F.E. Warren Air Force Base issued a warning on the base urging occupants to seek shelter.
