A Couple in Canada won $46 MILLION in the lottery, and then LOST the ticket!  Someone in their church found it, and returned the ticket to them, on April Fool’s Day!

This couple, originally from Nigeria, lived outside of Toronto for 17 years.  They, like many of us, decided to buy a lottery ticket with dreams of what they would do with the money if they won, and they DID, $46 MILLION!

According to the Toronto Sun, Hakeem, who was worried about losing the ticket, decided to put the ticket in an envelope, and then duct tape it to his stomach.(???)  Then he decided that maybe that wouldn’t be a good idea, so he handed the envelope to his wife who put it in her purse.  They went to church the next day, but then, the inevitable happened, she couldn’t find the ticket!

They tore their house upside down looking for the ticket.  They went through the trash cans and every room in the house, but turned up nothing.  They would soon have to face the fact that the winning Lotto ticket, along with all their dreams, was lost forever.

Hakeem was smart enough to sign the winning ticket before it was lost, and he filled in his address.  Good thing he did, because two months after they lost the ticket, someone from their church FOUND the ticket, and gave it back to them, on April Fool’s Day!

The couple just got their big check, and now their dreams of traveling and helping out their four kids and five grandkids have now, once again come true!

If you found a winning Lotto ticket with someone’s name and address on it, would you give it back, and would you expect anything in return?
