Grateful Mike’s Favorite Holiday Recipe: Black Forest Cake

Is there a holiday recipe your family likes to prepare during Christmas?

One of our family's favorites is having Black Forest Cake for dessert. We do it the easy way using Betty Crocker's Devil's Food cake mix.

You will need: Betty Crocker Devil's Food Cake Mix, 1/4 cup of flour, 3 eggs, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 1 1/2 cups of water, hot fudge, cherry pie filling and whip cream. Use the cake mix, flour, eggs, vegetable oil and water to prepare the cake according to the high altitude directions. Bake in a 9 by 13 inch pan. Let the cake cool thoroughly. When ready to serve, cut a square piece and place it on a plate. Heat the hot fudge in the microwave for 45 seconds. Swirl hot fudge on the cake, add a dollop of cherry pie filling and top with whip cream. It is a wonderful Christmas treat.
