State Superintendent of Public Instruction Cindy Hill says she is "very confident" about her campaign for Governor of Wyoming.

Hill says she has the advantage of "knowing what a successful statewide campaign looks like", referring to her election as superintendent in 2010. She says her campaign is well organized and has been getting a positive reception so far.

Hill says that while incumbent Governor Matt Mead may be counting on support from Democrats and state employees in his re-election bid, she thinks a lot of state residents aren't happy with the direction the state is headed.

In addition to Hill and Mead, Cheyenne physician Taylor Haynes has also announced he is running for governor this year. Mead, Hill and Haynes are all Republicans.
