A spokesman for the U-S Postal Service says that although no Cheyenne post offices will  be open later than usual on tax day April 17 (Tuesday),  late filers in the capitol city will still be able to get their returns postmarked up until midnight. David Rupert, with the agency’s Denver office, says last minute filers on Tuesday can drop their returns in the mail collection chute, either inside or outside the main Cheyenne post office on Converse. He says those returns will be postmarked April 17th. He says there will also be an automated stamp machine available for late filers who need stamps.
