Just when you thought this year's election couldn't possibly get any weirder, here's a terrifying thought, a radio D.J. is running for Cheyenne City Council.

Bill Roberts, known on the air as Rob Roberts, in one of six candidates competing for the open City Council seat in Cheyenne's Ward II.

Which begs the question, what does a radio D.J. know about politics? According to Roberts, the answer is "absolutely nothing".

"I've never even been to a City Council meeting," said Roberts. "I'm just running to see how many of my friends and family will vote for me."

Unlike some of the other candidates, who are spending thousands of dollars on their campaign, Roberts doesn't expect to win.

"I'd put my odds of winning at zero percent," Roberts admitted. "There's six candidates in Ward II and my goal is to not finish last," he added. "If I was in Ward I, which has 14 candidates, I'm pretty sure I could make the top 10."

Roberts is one of 28 Cheyenne residents vying for a seat on the City Council.
