Gigantour 2013 is now in the books, and during the final show last night (Aug. 11) in Toronto, Dave Mustaine and  jammed the Metallica classic 'Phantom Lord' during 's set (watch fan-shot video above).

'Phantom Lord' is from Metallica's 1983 debut album 'Kill 'Em All.' Mustaine received songwriting credit on the song, even though he had departed the band and didn't appear on the record. Of course Newsted wasn't in the band yet, but played the song live countless times after joining Metallica in 1986.

There were a few other collaborations during Gigantour this year. At numerous shows, Device singer David Draiman joined Megadeth for 'Dance in the Rain, reprising his guest appearance on their latest album 'Super Collider.' The July 12 Dallas show had an all-star jam of the Thin Lizzy song 'Cold Sweat,' which is also on 'Super Collider.' Slash, Zakk Wylde, Jason Newsted, Draiman, and Vinnie Paul all got onstage with Megadeth to perform that track.

Megadeth will have a few weeks off, then embark on a short U.S. tour with Iron Maiden. In October they have several South American dates with Black Sabbath.
