Wyoming Is cool, and heading toward freezing tonight Friday, September 29. By the end of the weekend there may be some snow at elevation if an incoming cold front stalls out. But snow has already fallen on Casper Mountain early this morning.

A change of color in the Wyoming high country is signaling Fall, which doesn’t actually occur until Thursday, September 22.

The first snows for Casper are usually in October. The average first snow in Cheyenne is November 5th. Wyoming doesn’t need to wait for winter to snow. 34% of Cheyenne's snow fell during the winter months.

The Old Farmer’s Almanac says “Winter temperatures will be much colder than last winter.” Are you ready for snow? Is your car? Your house?
