New Downtown Cheyenne BBQ Restaurant Prepares for Grand Opening

Food fanatics here in Cheyenne have been starving for a new barbecue restaurant ever since Mitchell's BBQ went out of business last fall. Luckily, there's a new restaurant coming to town.

Tasty Bones BBQ & Bakery will celebrate their grand opening on Wednesday, May 18th on the ground floor of the Central Plaza Motel on 1719 Central Avenue in downtown Cheyenne.

The new family owned restaurant is the fruition of a life long dream for owners Mike and Razel Klemm. After launching their own food truck in 2011, they have competed in BBQ competitions across the country.

Although this will be their first retail location, their food truck was among the winners at last year's Cheyenne Rib Fest.

In addition to BBQ staples like pulled pork, brisket and ribs, Tasty Bones will also specialize in custom cakes and baked goods.

After their grand opening on the 18th, which begins with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 a.m., their operating hours will run from 10 to 9 p.m., Monday through Saturday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
