Did you think it was really going to happen?

Last July, Roger Waters promised that David Gilmore would join him on stage to play "Comfortably Numb" at one of his concerts and last night in London it happened at the O2 Arena in London. All three surviving members of Pink Floyd reunited at the show during the finale of "Outside the Wall" with drummer Nick Mason playing the tambourine.

This was only the third time the band has performed together in the past 30 years since Waters left Pink Floyd after the original Wall tour in 1981. They played at Live 8 in 2005 and at last year's Hoping Foundation benefit show where Gilmore promised to do the guitar solo on "Comfortably Numb" at one concert during Water's tour.

David Gilmore lives close to the O2 Arena in London so it wasn't too unusual for him to make an appearance during Water's six-show run of The Wall tour. Earlier this week Pink Floyd coincidentally announced a massive reissue campaign of their classic albums.
