Have you ever performed a random act of kindness?

Last weekend at Barnes and Nobles on Dell Range, we received a random act of kindness from a complete stranger and it felt really good. It makes you want to pay it forward and reward someone else with one of life's rare gifts. My son, Jerry, and I were playing with the cool puppets on display while we waited for Emily to pick out a book. A lady came by and noticed how much fun we were having, doing voices and having the puppets interact with each other. She offered us coupons she had earned as a store member to help us afford one of the puppets.

The Leopard Frog Puppet didn't have a price tag so we took it up front when we were about ready to check out. It turned out to be a bit pricey so Jerry put the puppet back and the friendly staff found the book that Emily was looking for.

When we returned to the cashier, she said the nice woman behind us had left behind some cash to help us buy the frog puppet. So we bought it and found our good Samaritan in the Starbucks to thank her for her random act of kindness.

The experience made us all feel good and helped restore our faith in humanity. Is there anything you've done recently to help your fellow man?
