School Changes for Laramie County School Dist. 1

ATTENTION PARENTS:  Do you know where your kids are going to school this year?  If your kids go to Laramie County School Dsitrict #1, it may be harder to get them enrolled into a school near you.  Reason?  According to Larimie  County School Dist. #1 Superintendent Dr. Mark Stock, it's due to overcrowding, and that means some kids won't be going to their neighborhood schools.  So...what do you do?  He's telling parents to go to the school closest to their homes on Aug. 13th and Aug. 14th,  to find out if that's the school they'll be going to this school year. AND...you need to bring in verification of your address to the school.  You can bring in a check stub with your address on it, or a utility bill showing your address.  Now even though you can register your kids online for this upcoming season, you STILL must go to the school physically on either of those 2 days so they can verify your address.
