Searing Industries Announces Steel Tubing Plant

Searing Industries of Rancho Cucumonga, California has announced plans to locate a 200,000 square foot facility in the Swan Ranch Rail Park near Cheyenne that will make steel tubing.

Cheyenne LEADS Executive Director Randy Bruns says the new plant should be up and running by mid-2013, and should initially create about 50 jobs in the Laramie County economy.

Bruns adds the company's plants in California employ around 120 people, and says the Laramie County facility potentially might employ a similar number down the road. Bruns says the rail access in the Swan Ranch was critical to Searing deciding to locate here.
