Dine by the Sword: Slayer-Inspired Curry Restaurant ‘Calayer’ Opens in Japan
Planning to visit Osaka, Japan in the near future? You’re in luck! Because the city is home to the world’s most brutal curry restaurant, Calayer!
Slayer + Curry = Calayer. Get it? Got it? Good!
Imagine strolling the streets of Osaka and running into a Slayer-based curry restaurant advertised by the band’s signature pentagram logo made out of spoons. Of course, you’d run in immediately, order the spiciest dish available and attempt to alleviate the pain by screaming ‘CALAYER!!!’ while carving the restaurant’s name into your arm.
The curry hut is currently open for lunch and serves Indian and Pakistani food Monday through Saturday. Apparently, Calayer is fairly new, so if you happen to be in the Osaka area, show your support and ‘Dine by the Sword’ like a true metalhead.
Now that we’ve introduced you to your new favorite dining spot, it’s time to do your part. While you’re there, pass along these suggestions for signature dishes: ‘Dead Skin Masala,’ ‘Samosas in the Abyss’ and ‘Raaning Blood.’ Feel free to suggest your own signature Slayer dishes in the comments section below.
