According to a Monday morning news release from fire managers, firefighters including a hot shot crew were at the fire scouting and preparing to create a landing area for helicopters.
In Carbon County, Wyo., firefighters are evaluating areas north of the fire where they may have to defend buildings should the fire make a push in that direction.
