Neighborhood Night Out

Cheyenne Police Chief Brian Kozak says many police departments across the country have a "warrior attitude" that is a holdover from the 1980s.

The multi-block party is designed to bring neighbors, businesses and police together to recognize and prevent crime in the community.

The Cheyenne Police Department will hold its annual "Neighborhood Night Out" event on July 12, according to Officer Dan Long.
