August 14, 2012 Wondering where the smokey haze around Cheyenne is coming from?
There are plenty of sources as wildfires are burning in several locations across the western United States including in Wyoming.
According to the Wyoming State Forestry Division, there's a 6, 500 acre blaze burning southeast of Casper. The Little Boxelder Fire about 10 miles south of Glenrock has burned grass and timber since it was first reported last Friday. It is about 80 percent contained.
With all the smoke and wildfire all around us...I thought I had seen most of the videos available on the subject.
It is simply amazing to me the grand display that Mother Nature is putting on in our state of Wyoming, and our neighboring states too!
All across the Front Range of the Rockies from New Mexico all the way up to Wyoming, we are again waking up to smoke filled lungs & skies, with no end in sight for some of the wildfires.
My Grandma always told me to look for the good things, even in a bad situation!
I know how easy it is to be a little...let's say "casual" about things like making sure your campfire is all the way out or leaving it unattended for a while so you can go fishing. The same holds true if you are a smoker and you flick your cigarette on the ground or out the window of your car. Hey, most of the time you can get away with something like that...but not right now!
