I-180 has been closed for several hours today (Monday) due to a tanker rollover at the intersection of I-180 and Interstate 80.  I-180 is closed at Fox Farm north and from 5th Street south all northbound and southbound lanes.Crews are in the process of pumping the estimated 34,000 gallons of butane from the rolled over tanker into a second tanker.  This process must be completed in order for large tow trucks to be able to upright the overturned tractor trailer taker. The patrol says thee tractor trailer combination rolled onto its drivers side as the driver attempted a right turn from northbound US 85 onto the eastbound I-80 on-ramp. At the request of the Cheyenne Fire Department as a precautionary measure during the offload process, Troopers assisted by Wyoming Department of Transportation personnel have closed eastbound Interstate 80.  The eastbound closure begins at the junction of Interstate 25 and is a 3 mile section of Interstate to the College Drive Interchange.  Motorists must us alternate routes of travel to get around the road closure areas. Westbound Interstate 80 is open and is not affected.  Troopers hope to have the Interstate open before midnight. The tanker driver, Guy Noel from Cheyenne, was treated and released from Cheyenne Regional Medical Center.  The crash remains under investigation at this time.
