This Spring you'll get the chance, they begin their U.S. tour at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado on April 19, 2012.

Tom Petty's website has also announced the first tour of Europe in 20 years.

The North American tour of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers includes their first ever performance at the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on April 28.

On this tour, the band will also play for the first time in Nova Scotia and Newfoundland.

During a recent Twitter chat session, Tom Petty tweeted that he loves the U. K. and was very excited to come there in general and wished they were playing more shows. When asked if there was a new Petty album planned, he replied, "Yes there is, but too soon to know details, it's early days."

When asked when was the first time he saw snow? Petty tweeted, "That's a good question, I think on tour in '76 in Boston." He may get another chance to see snow in the Rocky Mountains when his tour comes to Colorado on April 19, 2012.
