"[Eff] U2.  I don't want you.  [Eff] BONO. I didn't ask for you.  I'm mad . . . it's like waking up with a pimple or herpes."[/pullquotes] In this contrived video showing U2 teaming with Apple to give their new album, “Songs of Innocence” to some 500 million iTunes members, you see the billionaires trying to appear magnanimous, but they ended up upsetting almost as many people as they pleased.

It’s estimated that Apple paid U2 $100,000 Million to put their new album on iOS devices through an automatic download. Many don’t have the room to sacrifice, some don’t like U2 and others just don’t like the creepy factor of a company they trusted, sneaking content or anything into their lives without at least asking first, let alone getting explicit permission.

Most don’t hate U2 as much as they hate Apple, but they are helping disgruntled users ditch that new U2 album by launching a one-click support website allowing dissatisfied users to permanently remove U2’s Songs of Innocence less than a week after the company gifted the set to 500 million iTunes users. There are reports that site doesn't always work, but I like C/Net and PC/Mag for tech advice, One bit of information you should know is that many say you can't delete, but only hide it.

Be aware that after deleting Songs of Innocence, the support site’s disclaimer says it will no longer be available to re-download as a previous purchase. The album remains free for users to download until October 13.

Here are some Tweets from people who were ANNOYED that Bono was force-fed to them . . .

"Why is there a U2 album on my phone?  I don't remember downloading it."

"Why in the [eff] is U2 on my phone."

"Count me among the ones upset that a U2 album arbitrarily appeared on my phone last night."

"Swear to God if a U2 song come on my shuffle while I'm working out I'm getting an Android."

"Going to switch to Android for sure because Apple just downloaded U2 for everyone.  And U2 is the worst."

"My disdain for the band U2 is making me contemplate switching to a Samsung Galaxy phone.  #OverratedBand #BonoIsaTurd"

"[Eff] U2.  I don't want you.  [Eff] BONO.  I didn't ask for you.  I'm mad . . . it's like waking up with a pimple or herpes."
