UW's Woodward has improved game in all aspects.   Sophomore Kayla Woodward has settled into her role on the Wyoming Cowgirls this season.The Sheridan High School product has increased her averages in every offensive category this season in helping lead Wyoming to a 23-6 record and third place in the Mountain West. The Cowgirls open conference tournament play at 9:30 p.m. tonight against Colorado State at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas.

Woodward averaged 12.1 points during her freshman season with the Cowgirls, but she found it hard to accept her role as a shooter.

Woodward says that she feels much better about her role this year.   She ranks sixth in the Mountain West in scoring (14.1 ppg), ninth in rebounding (6.2 rpg), and third in 3-point shooting (39.4 percent).  (Laramie Daily Boomerang)
