Obesity has been a problem in our country for years.  In fact, it's the leading cause of preventable death in the nation.

24/7 Wall St.com has compiled data gathered by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and discovered the obesity rate in each state and analyzed it all the way down to the county level. Obesity is a measure of your body mass index, a ration measurement of your height as compared against your weight.  According to the CDC, 28 percent of people age 18 and over in the US are considered obese.

Mississippi and West Virginia are the two states tied with the highest percentage of obese population at 35.1%.  As compared to Wyoming's statewide obesity rate which sits at 27.8% according to the CDC.

When it comes to the most obese counties in the nation, the county with the highest obese population is by far Clairborne County in Mississippi at 47.6% - that's almost 1 in every 2 people!

Wyoming's most obese county is Campbell County at 34.3% or just over every 1 in 3 people.
