Are you daring enough to jump off the Stratosphere Tower in Las Vegas? Or ride the roller coasters they have on top?

One of the first assignments at the beginning of a new school year is to write about your summer vacation. Our family took a road trip to Las Vegas and we stayed at the Stratosphere Hotel, Casino and Tower. The destination was sealed when we found out they have a McDonald's inside the hotel, they also have about a dozen other restaurants, plus the buffet. Then there's the mini amusement park on top of the Stratosphere Tower with 2 roller coasters.

When we checked into our room, a label on the window read, 'Skyjumpers may fly by, feel free to wave.' During our stay, we did see several skyjumpers...and we waved.

We took the elevator to the top of the Stratosphere Tower 109 stories up. The view of Las Vegas is thrilling and I couldn't imagine jumping off the edge. My daughter was thinking about it until we saw the price, almost as scary as the jump, about $1 per floor plus more if you want a video to prove you did it.

We told her if we won big at the casino we'd let her, so she didn't get a chance to Skyjump this time. Would you jump off the Stratosphere Tower?

Here's a view of the jigsaw puzzle shaped pool which is 100 stories down.
