The High Wind Warning that began early Monday morning called for winds gusting to 40 to 50 mph. That was an under estimate.

At Cheyenne Regional Airport, a gust was clocked at 70 mph. I-25 and I-80 both had multiple closures. Two semis were blown over on southbound I-25 at the Port Of Entry.  A Cheyenne powerline was taken down by a blown down tree, thankfully with no injuries or damage.

I saw the car in this video under cover of a tarp that seemed to be plastered up against the car and by the time I turned around to get this footage, the tarp had started to peel back.

The winds and the High Wind Warning will continue into Tuesday afternoon and CBS5 reports it may be extended on the I-80 summit between Cheyenne and Laramie.
