Last year thanks to the largest fundraiser, Race for the Cure, the grants programs through the Wyoming Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® were able to help detect 20 cancers, give 3,103 clinical breast exams, give 48 diagnostic services, and perform 1,195 mammograms in the state. Through events like the Wyoming Art for the Cure: A Celebration of Art and Life, the Komen Wyoming Race for the Cure® and PAWS for the Cure, the Wyoming Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® has invested over $2.5 million in local breast health and breast cancer awareness projects in Wyoming. Up to 75 percent of net proceeds generated by the Komen Wyoming Affiliate stay in the state. The remaining income goes to the national Susan G.
