The replica will not be as long as the original which is 246 feet long. The replica will be half that size and will be on display in Rock Springs, according to Buckrail.

The replica should be in Rock Springs this month. The Vietnam Veterans' Memorial or The Moving Wall replica is coming to Wyoming thanks to Jackson Wyoming Elks Lodge No. 1713. There was a unanimous decision made on July 22nd that the lodge would donate $2,500 to the Rock Springs American Legion Post to bring the replica.

“Our veteran’s services committee chair Donnie Rodgers was approached by American Legion Post 24 of Rock Springs to help them bring the memorial to Wyoming,” Pete Kendzior, Exalted Ruler of Jackson Elks Lodge No. 1713 told Buckrail. “As soon as our membership heard the idea, everyone was on board."

You can see and pay your respects to Vietnam Veterans' Memorial at the Western Wyoming Community College in Rock Springs from August 22 through the 26.

The memorial travels the country for people to see and pay their respects. The cost of hosting the wall cost around $15,000 so that $2,500 that was donated helped out quite a bit.

The wall was constructed in Washington D.C. 1982 and it has over 58,000 names on it of those who lost their lives in the Vietnam War.

The wall was just recently in Lusk, Wyoming from July 11 to the 15. The wall has also been in Cheyenne back in 2017 it was set up at the VA hospital in town.
