Two Cheyenne men are facing multiple drug charges after a months-long investigation revealed they were selling cocaine in the capital city.

Court records say agents with the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation began investigating Sean Flannigan in June after receiving information that he may be dealing drugs out of his house.

A confidential informant told agents that they'd purchased marijuana from Flannigan in the past, and knew him to sell cocaine with Wesley Benson's help.

On June 27 and July 2, agents used the informant to make two controlled buys from Flannigan. During the second purchase, the informant introduced an undercover agent and Flannigan reportedly told them that he could provide "whatever" they needed.

When the undercover agent contacted Flannigan on July 9 indicating they wanted to buy an ounce of cocaine from him, Flannigan was reportedly busy at work and had Benson deliver the cocaine.

The two also sold the undercover agent cocaine hydrochloride, crack and a handgun on July 19.

On July 23, agents obtained a search warrant for Benson's phone number and noted numerous communications, including messages between Benson and Flannigan, which appeared to refer to the purchase and sale of drugs.

Agents had Benson arrested near Chugwater on Aug. 1 after he told the undercover agent he was on his way with three ounces of cocaine. Benson told agents he met Flannigan in February 2018 and that he got one to three grams of cocaine from him each week.

In November, a confidential source told agents that Flannigan mainly dealt cocaine and that he usually bought it from a source in Cheyenne.

Agents arrested 25-year-old Benson on Dec. 4 and 26-year-old Flannigan on Dec. 5.

Benson is charged with conspiracy to deliver cocaine, two counts of felony delivery of cocaine, two counts of felony possession of cocaine, felony delivery of crack and felony possession of crack. The charges carry a maximum penalty of up to 101 years in prison.

Flannigan is charged with conspiracy to deliver cocaine, two counts of felony delivery of cocaine, two counts of misdemeanor possession of cocaine, felony delivery of marijuana and misdemeanor possession of marijuana.  If convicted, he could face up to 73 years in prison.

Benson's bond was set at $15,000 cash and Flannigan's at $25,000 cash. Their preliminary hearings are scheduled for Dec. 13 in Laramie County Circuit Court.
