Each year Midas of Cheyenne purchases and restores a classic car with help from community partners then donates the car to local charities to raffle off. This year’s project is inspired by the movie "Smokey and the Bandit," is a fully restored replica of the Bandit car, a 1976 Pontiac TransAm!

The car will make a run from the Lincoln Theater, with police escort, to the Midas, 2423 E. Lincolnway where another charity event is underway. The "Drive Out Hunger" truck is looking to help stock The Wyoming Food Bank. Come enjoy the food, lemonade, prizes and good times and bring a donation of non-perishable food items or cash works tool

Back to the Bandit Breakout, Three charities will benefit from the raffle proceeds of the stunning 1976 Pontiac TransAm this year. Habitat for Humanity of Laramie County, Inc., Safehouse Services, and Cheyenne Family YMCA Youth Program. The winning ticket will be drawn immediately following the Cheyenne Chamber Christmas Parade on November 28, 2015.  Online sales will be cut off on November 27, 2015 at noon.
