Earlier this month, Big Lots announced that a number of their stores would be closing across the country, and the number was said to be 35-40 stores nationally. But now, that number has grown to nearly 300 stores.

When I saw the article earlier this week, that you can read HERE, I immediately had to search and see if Cheyenne's store was on the list. Unfortunately, that was the case.

I went one step further and decided to check the local Cheyenne's Big Lots website, and the  words "Closing This Location" were in orange and white at the top of the page.

When Will Cheyenne's Big Lots Close?

As far as I'm able to tell, that is up in the air. However, on the local Big Lots website, there is a graphic saying that there are items up to 20 percent off so far. As these closings go in general for stores, they slowly start marking down items, so really, there is no telling.

The Big Lots in Greeley is also closing, but it appears that Casper's will stay open.

This, personally is a blow, I've been a life long Big Lots shopper. The store in my hometown of Henderson, Kentucky, will also be closing. I told my Dad the other day that I don't know Henderson without Big Lots(I know that may sound silly, but it is true).

When my wife and I moved to Cheyenne, we filled our new home with a lot of furniture and items from Big Lots, so on a personal note, it is really sad to see the store go. I love going there during Halloween and Christmas to see what decorations they have in stock, because honestly, it's the good stuff!
