Cheyenne Frontier Days 2015 Public Relations Chair Bob Budd says one change in this year's CFD is an effort to "beef up" Military Day on Monday July 20.

Budd says Frontier Days officials have "sent out thousands of free tickets" to  military families. He notes Military Day at CFD 2015 will follow the first ever ''Navy week" in Cheyenne.

The city is  home to F.E. Warren Air Force base, and Budd says the other branches of the military will be represented at Cheyenne Frontier Days 2015 as well. Frontier Days' other long standing military tie is Wednesday's (July 22)  performance by the Air Force Thunderbirds demonstration team.

The Thunderbirds have been a CFD staple since the 1950s, with the exception of 2013 when military budget cuts forced the team to cancel it's CFD appearence. But they returned in 2014 and are scheduled to perform again this year.

Laramie County Community College is currently seeking volunteers to help with seating and answering questions at the Thunderbirds 2015 performance.
