As we look forward to the Cheyenne Home and Garden Show, here's an example of a fantastic kitchen remodel.

Before we moved into our house last fall, the previous owners had completely completely gutted the kitchen. Like many houses built in the 1940's, the kitchen was small and cramped and the counter tops were horribly outdated.  Luckily, they spent the money to do it right.

One way they saved space was to add a "lazy susan" cabinet in the corner and a built in sliding spice rack cabinet next to the stove.  They also added granite counters, a new sink and stainless steel appliances.  Although the kitchen is still small, it's now an open, functional space.

Older homes can be a struggle to remodel, especially the kitchen.  However, if you're willing to think outside the box, a quality kitchen remodel can make your life much more convenient and add value to your home.

This stove actually makes me "want" to cook. And that's saying something.
