Cheyenne Pair Arrested After Allegedly Beating, Robbing Woman
Two Cheyenne residents are behind bars after allegedly beating and robbing a woman, sending her to the hospital with a broken finger and multiple bruises.
Police spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta says officers were called to Cheyenne Regional Medical Center on Oct. 16 after Britnee Gilmore reported she'd been assaulted by Bryanna Salinas, 27, and Scott Jackson, 33, at Jackson's home in the 1200 block of Richardson Court.
"Investigators determined that Salinas and Gilmore had been arguing over drugs when Salinas struck Gilmore multiple times with a curtain rod while Jackson was kicking Gilmore," said Malatesta.
"In the course of this, Salinas stole Gilmore’s keys and Jackson stole her phone," Malatesta added. "As Gilmore attempted to leave, Salinas and Jackson broke into Gilmore’s vehicle, stealing items from the vehicle."
Salinas was arrested on suspicion of aggravated assault with injury, robbery with injury, burglary, felony possession of methamphetamine and misdemeanor possession of marijuana, both of which were within a school zone.
Jackson was arrested on suspicion of aggravated robbery with serious injury, burglary and aggravated assault with injury.
The two are currently being held in the Laramie County jail awaiting formal charges.
