Pokémon Go is the biggest mobile game in history and since it’s release last week, Nintendo's stock went up by 25%, and their worth jumped by $9 Billion. Good financially, good fun for a lot, but a danger for some as well.

Since Pokémon Go came out last week, an Oregon man was stabbed while playing, but refused treatment. He eventually got eight stitches. A Pittsburgh girl was hit by a car, a Georgia girl got locked in a cemetery. Others have been walking into lakes in the dark, two more off a cliff because they were looking at virtual reality instead of real life. In O’Fallon, Mo. Four teenagers were arrested for luring a victim to a park for armed robbery. There are more bad stories. You’ve got to be careful.

Cheyenne Police Chief Kozak found the Pokémon hunting was good in Lions Park. This photo was posted on the CPD Facebook page along with a reminder to stay safe.

There is no need to go into the street or on someone's private property to catch Pikachu. If you see a Pokémon you don't have to step toward it to catch it. If you hop a fence, the Judge will not buy the Pokémon defense.

Watch where you're walking. Don't drive, skateboard or ride a bike while playing. This game has caused several injuries. It is against the law to drive while holding a phone, even to catch a Geodude, which is what the Chief caught.

Play with a friend and don't go in dark places. Always be aware of your surroundings. Parents, set boundaries and enforce them.
