The Cheyenne Police Department is conducting a special Labor Day weekend DUI enforcement effort, according to spokesman Officer Kevin Malatesta.

He says the effort is already underway as of Friday morning and will continue through Sunday evening. The effort will include the activation of the DUI mobile command center. He says the department's DUI task force, with extra officers assigned to enforcing DUI laws, will also be on the streets.

The command center allows police to process suspects who are arrested more quickly and get officers back out on the streets more quickly.
