Cheyenne Woman Charged with Stabbing Roommate
A 36-year-old Cheyenne woman has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly stabbing her roommate.
Court records allege Amanda Steele stabbed her roommate after getting into an argument with him on Aug. 3.
The man told police that Steele was arguing with her wife when he came home around 6 p.m. and started arguing with him after her wife left.
He says during the argument, Steele picked up a knife and stabbed him in the upper left arm.
Steele confirmed that she'd been arguing with her wife, but told police that she went to bed soon afterwards because she was highly intoxicated.
She said she never argued with her roommate and never stabbed him.
Steele is currently being held in the Laramie County jail on a $1,000 cash bond. Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for Aug. 14 at 9 a.m.
