Cheyenne’s ‘Ice on the Plaza’ Gracefully Returns for Second Year

Time to dust off the ol' skates because Ice on the Plaza is back for its second year at the Cheyenne Depot Plaza.

The ice rink, presented by the DDA/Mainstreet of Cheyenne, opens up Dec. 2. at 4 p.m.

Folks can both skate and rent skates for free, courtesy of the Downtown Development Authority. However, donations are encouraged and accepted for those able.

With exception to weather issues, the schedule is as follows:

Weekdays:
When school is in session: 4 p.m. - 7 p.m.
When school is out: 12 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Weekends:
12 p.m. - 7 p.m.

Holiday Schedule:
Dec 24: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Dec 25: CLOSED
Dec 31: 12 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Jan 1: 10 a .m. - 4 p.m.

The organizations are seeking volunteers to help operate the rink.
