CLTP Hosts Auditions for the Musical ‘Rent’ on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday [VIDEO]

Have you ever watched the musical 'Rent'?

You could be part of the cast of the Cheyenne Little Theatre Players production of 'Rent' to be performed at the historic Atlas Theatre from April 5 through 21.

Auditions for this Pulitzer Prize winning musical will be held at the Atlas Theatre in downtown Cheyenne on Sunday, February 3, at 6:30 p.m., Monday, February 4, starting at 4:30 p.m. and Tuesday, February 5, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Those who wish to audition are asked to prepare to sing 16 measures from a contemporary musical, selections from 'Rent' are preferred. An accompanist will be provided.

The musical is loosely based on Puccini's 'La Boheme,' and follows a year in the life of a group of friends struggling to make it in the East Village of New York City.

The musical will be directed by Brenda Lyttle and the book, music and lyrics were written by Jonathan Larson.
