Community Of Burns Needs Help To Make Christmas Special For Children
The Burns Jr/Sr High School Student Council is helping assure many children in their community have a special Christmas.
A list of over 50 children throughout Burns Jr/Sr High School, Burns Elementary School, and Carpenter Elementary School has been complied and suggests they may need some assistance to receive Christmas gifts this year.
The Student Council is raising money to purchase gifts, and accepting toys, clothing, books, personal hygiene items, and "stocking stuffers." Cash donations can be made through December 2, either by dropping off spare change at the BHS office collection boxes, or mailing a check to:
Burns Jr/Sr High School
524 East 4th Street
Burns, WY 82053
The week of December 5-8 BHS will launch a "stocking stuffer" campaign, collecting the following:
Monday - New hygiene products - Shampoo, body wash, deodorant, toothpaste, tooth brushes
Tuesday - New or gently used scarves, gloves, hats, mittens, and new socks
Wednesday - Candy
Thursday - Small toys or prizes (Stocking-size)
If you would like to donate items or money, but cannot make it to the school, please contact Mrs. Anderson at (307) 245-4100.
