There’s so many tribute albums coming out, with country paying tribute to rock groups like ZZ Top, The Eagles, and soon Motley Crew. Now country’s getting “Boss,” LITERALLY!

Some country artists are now lending their talents to pay tribute to “The Boss” himself, Bruce Springsteen.  Details are a little sketchy as to who’s going to be singing what, but there’s a couple of newbie’s who apparently are “Born in the U.S.A.!”   Newcomers Jason Isabell and Amanda Shires will be singing the title track to the tribute to Bruce’s album.

This made me think of other tribute albums that I think country artists could pull off, and after hearing Carrie Underwood sing “Different Drum” as part of a tribute to Linda Ronstadt who was inducted into the “Rock and Roll Hall of Fame,” a few months ago, I could definitely see some country gals getting together to do a Linda Ronstadt tribute album.

On a local note, I think Wyoming’s Cowboy deserves some love and tribute, of course I’m talking about our very own Chris Ledoux.   I can already see Garth Brooks doing a Chris Ledoux tune, but which one?

If country artists did a Chris Ledoux tribute album, what country artist would you want on it, and what Chris Ledoux songs? “Stampede,” “Copenhagen Angel,” “Take Me Back To Old Wyoming?"  Any other suggestions?
