The Wyoming Cowboy basketball team has its first signee of the 2018-19 recruiting class with the signing of Kenny Foster from Aurora, CO.

Foster is a 6-5, 190-pound wing that stars for Smoky Hill High School in Aurora. He was one of only three juniors in Colorado selected All-State after last season and helped the Buffs reach the Great 8 of last season’s Colorado Class 5A state tournament. In addition, Foster is a three-time All-Centennial League First Team pick and a three-time Sentinel A-Town All-Star Game participant. He has averaged 17.8 points, 5.7 rebounds, 3.4 assists, and 1.7 steals per game during his prep career. Foster has already surpassed 1,000 points in his high school career. He is rated a three-star recruit by Rivals.

Wyoming coach Allen Edwards said in a release from the university that they’re excited to add Kenny to the program.

“We have really seen him grow as a basketball player and have spent a lot of time with him this summer and fall. This is a tremendous addition to what we are doing here at Wyoming.”

Edwards added, “He is a complete basketball player and person. He is a great student both in the classroom and of the game. Kenny understands how to play the game the right way. He has the ability to score the basketball on all three levels. He is a great rebounder and a tremendous athlete that fits the mold of the players we want in this program.”

Foster was also recruited by Colorado, Pepperdine, UC Davis, Pacific, Cleveland State, Denver, Milwaukee, and Montana State.
